Spring is finally here! I hope everyone is doing great and enjoying the sunshine. Below are two events that I am most looking forward to. Hope to see you all there!
Artists Roundtable: Art, Protest, and the Black Body
Join us for this conversation on the artist's role in social protest featuring new and alternative voices including dissident artist Dread Scott, multimedia artist Rashaad Newsome, Brooklyn-based street artist Tatyana Fazlalizadeh, and Ferguson, Missouri, activist artist Damon Davis. We will hear their response to the recent fatalities of Black men and women and consider what the Museum’s role should be in addressing these issues. This event will take place on Saturday, April 18th at 2:00 pm at the Brooklyn Museum. Free admissions will be offered for all Museum Huers who RSVP for this event.
