Thread Lines Open Studio Fridays 

Open Studio Fridays is a series of creative conversations, curated by PJ Gubatina Policarpio, that gives space for thoughtful consideration and engagement with Farida Sedoc’s work and studio practice through accessible and meaningful dialogues with writers, curators, critics, artists, historians, and other arts and culture professionals. The programs have highlighted the interwoven threads of labor, handwork, value, women’s work, Black Art, the contemporary art market, colonialism, empire, Dutch, Surinamese, Caribbean and American culture and tradition, and fibers/textiles that are evident in Farida’s work.
